Cassandra Budzik - Horticulturist

Cassandra has been the Horticulturist at the Country Club of Detroit since she arrived in 1997. Cassandra earned a Bachelor Degree in Art History form Kalamazoo College in Michigan. Cassandra worked as a research assistant for the Chicago Botanical Garden, helping with plant evaluations, plant introductions and herbarium management. She also trained in the English Walled Gardens designed be the esteemed British garden designer John Brooks. Cassandra received Master Gardner and Master Woodlands certification through Michigan State University and has become a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture. Her most important job is growing and cultivating her three young boys.
