Bob McCurdy - Superintendent
Bob has been with the Country Club of Detroit since March of 2000 serving as the Assistant Superintendent. As of November 11, 2007 Bob assumed the role of Golf Course Superintendent at CCD. Prior to working at CCD, Bob was an Assistant Superintendent for two other Detroit clubs – Orchard Lake Country Club in Orchard Lake and Great Oaks Country Club in Rochester. Born and raised in the Detroit area, Bob attended Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Crop and Soil Sciences with a Cognate (Minor) in Business.
While at CCD, Bob has been an integral part of both the 2001 Drainage Project, the 2005 Bunker Restoration Program by Keith Foster Golf Course Design and the 2010 Golf Course Renovation Project. In the future, Bob is committed to providing the membership of CCD an “outstanding golf experience” and doing whatever it takes to ensure that the Country Club of Detroit is continually recognized as the premier private family club in Michigan.
